"What Professional Sport Do I Want to be a Team Physician For?"
In my previous blog post, I elaborated on the topic of what profession I would like to pursue, but I did not touch on the subject of what Professional Sport I want to be a Team Orthopedic Physician for ranging from MLB, NHL, NBA, and NFL.
Also, there are multiple roles that medical professionals need to take to take care of world-class athletes in world-class facilities for multiple professional leagues including the NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL.
All these 4 major professional sports of North America have some degree of danger therefore injuries are inevitable; some more injury-prone than others. The figure below will further establish this point, according to Bleacher Report.

As you can see, this particular list is nearly identical to the list prior besides some few exceptions....
These "exceptions," include NBA, where the # of Roster Spots affect the Statistics tremendously, as there is only 15 Active Roster Spots per team in the NBA compared to 23 Active Roster Spots per team in the NHL. As a result, NBA players enjoy a lower Average Career Length than a NHL player.
Concluding, the NFL is the Most Dangerous Major Professional Sport in North America.....
